Funny Pages #18

We're back from c2e2, stuffed with some great Chinese food, and we've got lots to get to in this issue of your Funny Pages Podcast.

Chris reviews and says good-bye to "X-Men Forever 2". Maybe, there will be hope in another three years when Marvel launches X-Men Forever 3. Anthony has his first crack at reviewing a graphic novel for the show with Ken Branch's '35 Years: Will You Survive?', a look into the future where all the crap going on today pans out in the worst way.

We wrap things up with our coverage of this year's c2e2. We talk panels, cos-play, comics (of course), and compare it to the other big con in Chicago.

Here's just some of the cool stuff we got to see this year:

Walking Dead Panel

Chris Doing what he does best

Best Cosplay of the con

I think this sums up c2e2

The King

And let us not forget #SexyShortySunday.

Funny Pages Issue #17

We've got a great show for all you loyal listeners out there leading up to C2E2. We're going to be there and we hope to see you there to. There are some big plans in the works for this years con. Be sure to check out the Blogspot page for more.

We've got tons to review. We talk the new animated DC movie All-Star Superman, and of course we have to talk about Grant Morrinson.

For the comics we catch you up on two of the baddest mothers in any galaxy. Chris has another great installment in the Star Wars comic book series. This time he shows how Anakin goes from wuss to baddest brother in a galaxy far, far away in Star Wars: Darth Vader and the Lost Command. Anthony picks apart the red white and blue Marvel poster boy in the first three issues of Ultimate Captain America.

Let us not forget the third segment of. For this issue we pick sides on the two postmortem books that just came out. We have the final issue of Fantastic Four (#587) up against the Amazing Spider-Man #655. Find out who gets the better send off: Johnny Storm or Marla Jameson.

One last thing. Just so all you out there in podcast land understand the hard work we put in for you, we wanted to share with you some of the not so sexy shorties we find every Sunday. It's easy to gawk at hot broads, but it takes real men to sift through some of these hookers.

Is it me, or does the the "lady" on the right look an awful a lot like Miss J. Alexander? Why the fuck do I know who that is?

Week off

Anthony Here:
Your favorite, and best host here.

I just want to give everyone the heads up. So you're sitting at home this weekend asking yourself: "what to do?" Well I'll tell you jag-off. GO SEE SUCKER PUNCH

I know this might sound weird, but the more people that see this movie the better. Think about it. Zach Snider puts this flick together, and he is slated to direct the next superman movie... So the more backing he gets, the more money WB is willing to put behind The Man of Steel, and the better it will be.

So do everyone in the comics book community a favor and put your ten dollars down on a ticket for this feature.

It's not like there is anything else to see this weekend.

Love, Luck, and Lollipops,
Anthony

Funny Pages Issue #16

We're of the D.L. and back in the rotation, and it's good to be back. We've got comic book talk galour for all you loyal listeners out there.

For the reviews Anthony has *sigh* yet another limited series. This time he's taking a look tat Image Comics first issue of Memoir. On a side note, this writer has the best name ever: Ben McCool. And your other host, Chris, picks apart another super villian team-up book with a look at Marvels latest story arc of Thunderbolts.

To wrap things up we break out the old 8 bit nes and take a walk hand in hand down memory lane. Let's be honest, these games are really, really shitty by today's standards, but back then we didn't know what a good video game was supposed to be. I mean have you heard some of the music? Vanilla Ice!? What the fuck were we thinking people?

One last thing, Chris forgot to pick out his Shorty for this week So Anthony did everyone a favor and picked two of his favorite shorties from Travis Porters #SexyShortySunday. If you care to stalk these lovely shorties on twitter, just click their pics.

Godzilla high

Hey there loyal listeners. Sorry about the delay but we want to let you know that we're still hard at work recording new shows and refining our technique from deep within our subterranean lair. We've got some great stuff coming up for ya, including the introduction of a new regular segment and our continuing coverage of the burgeoning comic-porn crossover market, all with new and improved audio to boot. We hope you'll feel our audio love spritzing right into your eager ears just in time for Valentine's day.

P.S. Wizard magazine shutting down? Get ready to pour one out for an original gangsta.

Happy M.L.K. day

Hello there loyal followers. Anthony here. Sorry for the delay, but between real jobs and the my terrible learning curve when it comes to learning new software, the new episode is a little behind schedule. Hopefully this will hold you over until the next show gets posted.
I knew it would help.

Funny Pages Podcast Issue #13

Happy New Year and happy new Issue. Chris and Anthony are back hung over and ready to talk some new comics and make some resolutions that will hopefully last past the end of next week, but most likely not.

Chris and Anthony have a title from the two big boys on the comic book playground. Chris has a review for Marvel's avian love duo Hawkeye & Mockingbird run. And meanwhile in the hall of justice, Anthony takes a look at DC's newest, yet another, Batman monthly. Oddly enough, the gimmick to this one is that Bruce Wayne is Batman. What a world.

If you haven't listened to the show yet, you're probably wondering what these two broads have to do with comic books. The short answer, a whole lot of nothing, but guess you'll just have to download to find out.
